Oil Leaking Problem

I just bought a 2007 1300r from a family member. It sat most of the past few years and has only 700 miles so far. The first time riding it I noticed an oil leak coming from the rod which is part of the gear shift mechanism. The rod is part of a 90 degree rod that enterrs what looks like the crankcase. The spot of the leak is a seal thich encircles this rod where it enters the crankcase. Any help in naming this seal, or in just telling me how difficult it would be to replace, would be most helpful. Thanks. Mike
