Have owned one for almost 7000KM, and I have to say this: this bike has been designed in warm and dry weather, FOR warm and dry weather. During base maintenance on my rear wheel I found the axle already showing signs of corrosion! pity...

The brakes have enormous power, so does the engine (for a 50cc that is). It got better torque then most automatics, and shift mopeds. the engine has been rated till 80CC, and some fools drive around with 90cc´s just fine, I think that a nutter could get 20KW out of this engine, more if he´d had the money to buy the $800 gearbox that uppens the RPM with another 5000

With 50CC, you´ll reach 50KM/h in third gear (even 60 in the red line) , with a 13-50 sprocket setup! (prefer torque over speed, got a top of 86km/h).

Parts are expensive, and take a hell of a lot of time to reach you, think about a month and a half. I also ordered the shop maintenance manuals, but Derbi is really determined on keeping the secrets of their engine limited to as few people as possible.

Stuff that´s been broken so far: (mostly cause of climate i think)
1. rear seat got loose and fell off, Derbi send me a new one per warranty.
