I had this bike as a loner during my 600 Yamaha was in service at the Dealership for a few day´s. First of all the keyless start was more then just anoiying, every time when i try to start the bike it took me at least 3 - 5 try´s unti the engine roars, yeah, the engine noise, compare to the slightly agressive look of the Zontes, the engine sound is quite the opposite and more like a 50 cc scooter would sound, but not a 2 stroke of course.
Yes the Pricetag is of course about 50 % of those 300 from Yamaha Honda Suzuki or Kawasaki, but you see the difference in almost every detail, there is no love or passion in the Zontes design, nor love to detail, wich is quite sad, i would say; if you are looking for a bike with zero emotion, then is the Zontes the right choice, yes it is cheap, but for a reason.
I guess they could do much better, but do they really want to ?
