High Rev at freeway speed?

I just bought an ´03 lc4 it´s my first ktm. Had a 2000 dr650 before this and on the freeway, that bike was happy enough cruising along at 70 - 75 miles an hour. This KTM sounds like I´m approaching red line at 60. The bike only got 3,000 miles so it´s in great shape. Am I tripping or do these things just sound like they´re reving high when they´re actually doing okay
