The Yamaha is an excellent bike. I usually ride a Honda due to the reliability of the motors but this bike is very solid. I have had the bike since 2006 and I have never had any issues with any component on this machine.

I did upgrade my pipe to a micron gp pipe and installed a k&n air filter with a power commander. Now the bike has 170 up at the wheel with increased low rpm torque. Removing that EXUP system allows you to flow more air thru the system so any pipe changes require a power commander to change the air fuel mixture so the bike is driveable. Otherwise it bogs down until 6000 rpm and then lights up after that.

Great bike will keep thus one as long as I can
