I have a may 2007 rocket which has just let me down. 17 days outside warranty. Yes I have carried out modifications but those modifications would of not caused the fault/s. The first indication that things where not right was when the engine just stopped. When inspected it was found that a key had come out of the end of the crankshaft, this key held on the exhaust cam drive, this caused the valves to be bent also. On it way out the key also broke off a small section of the crank, so the engine had to be dismantled. When this was done a second and much worse fault was found : The final drive bearing cage had broken up and put metal particules into the oil which caused damage to most moving parts, including Oil pump, Cam shafts, gearbox bearings main bearings. All this on an engine which has covered just 16500 miles. Not a good ad for Triumph. I am still discussing this with Triumph and their dealer in the hope that they will offer some kind of finacial help.
