A Great Bike, smooth, styleish, and to my amazement a good handler for a cruiser, plenty of ground clearence. However a couple of small gripes - First and foremost(and in the matter of safety) the gear change lever- my foot gets stuck between the footpeg & the lever when upshifting & to upshift the foot has to be at a crazy angle on the peg and upshifts are made with the tip of the toe & sometimes missed. I´ve spoken to a few America owners and they all have the same gripe. Secondly the rear brake hydraulic resevoir looks like it has been just stuck on the frame as an afterthought. It would be more sensible to incorporate it with the forward controls for the sake of style & practicality. I am sure the boffins at Hinkley are aware of this and will make changes accordingly on future models. Overall I rate this bike at 9.5 - Good Work all around Triumph. Dave Hoffensetz |
