Doohickey and other important parts

I have been recently fortunate to buy an 07 KLM 650 and have previously learned from research that I need to take care of this “Doohickey” part. Can someone guide me in this process, as in where do I get the best replacement and how to replace it? I am actually taking this bike to Zambia as my main source of transportation there, so I really want to do and get everything (i.e., what is my best aftermarket parts source?) I can while I’m still in the states.

I would be greatly appreciative of any help and will make all the KLM owners proud in Africa,
Martin
