Hi all, don´t know if anyone has been as stupid as me with the keyfob yet but the other day I washed my trousers with the keyfob still in the pocket - of course when I realised it it had already been through the washer and tumble dryer! And as you´d expect it wouldn´t work when I tried it against the bike - however I left it on top of the central heating radiator for most of the day and hey presto after a thorough drying out it´s been fine. So hats off to Kawasaki for making such a robust component. Done 3200 mile on the bike to date - been a bit quiet lately as the weather´s been atrocious here in the north of Scotland but so far I´ve not had any real problems. Flat battery after nearly two weeks in the garage but I put that down to a Starcom unit I fitted before Christmas which along with the immobiliser probably drained the battery. I´ve got it hooked up to an Optimate now so should be OK. I´ve noticed the metal unions on the front brake hoses have some corrosion on them - probably from the grit/salt they put on the roads in winter - not sure what to do about it at the moment - I wash it after every ride lately to try and keep the corrosion to a minimum but it still seems to get to some places.
