Increasing performance

I am interested in beefing up the performance on my 2007 650 V Star classic. Considering a hypercharger and some aftermarket pipes. Does anyone have experience with these items? From what i have seen so far it appears that the jet kit that comes with the HC doesn´t really cut it. Does anyone have suggestions as to what aftermarket pipes do the best job for the least money as far as performance and sound? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated
