I have a 2007 v-star 1300 with 650 miles on it. From the very beginning there was a loud wine in the transmission at low to medium speed ( 40-50 mph in 3rd gear 30 40 mph in 2ed gear}.
Also there is a loud rattle when idling in neutral with the clutch out and the engine is warm or hot.
I had it back to the dealer and they took the clutch plates out soaked them in oil and put them back in and it still sounds the same when idling. They also said the wine was normal for this model. I just can’t believe Yamaha would make a bike that sounds like this. Has any one else had this problem?
