Can I adjust the shift lever to make more room for boot?

Can I adjust the shift lever to make more room for boot?

2007 Yamaha YZF R6. I was wearing tennies and had plenty of room for my foot in that space. Now, I´m wearing boots and there´s not enough room. Can I adjust the position of the shift lever? Any suggestions? Thanks!
