07 VFR 800 fuel gauge readings

I´m curious if there are any other VFR owners ( 02- 08 models ) who have had issues with their fuel reading after filling their tanks. As we well know, the fuel readings on these model VFRs are indicated with the black squares. 8 squares indicating a full tank.
On several occassions after having filled the tank full,I´ve recieved a reading of 7 Squares instead of 8 Squares. I´ve also had readings with the 8 squares showing , however after riding 6 to 7 miles the fueling reading drops to 7 squares ... any thoughts ???
