Last ride I took, my battery light and engine light came on. I was half mile from home, got it home and there was a small fire beneath the regulator. I was able to put it out. Question is there an engineering flaw/opportunity that when either the stator fails or the regulator that the only result it fire? Should a fuse blown or some other safe measure?
