Hello to all you fellow Wide Glide enthusiast. I am curious to know if anybody else has had concerns how about the handling under acceleration in a sharp turn or just it’s going through the gears. My 2007 wide glide EFI seems unstable or wishy-washy While accelerating into the turn or just running through the gears each time I shift into another gear I feel a twist in the frame in reference to the rear wheel. Personally I feel it is a poor design with the swingarm attached to the transmission which in turn is rubber mounted to the frame.I did some research and came up with a set of stabilizers through a company named Sputhe, if you look on the website they got a set of stabilizers which are not cheap but I’m hoping will fix the issue that I’m having. I’ve modified by 96 to a 103 with high compression 10.5/1 wiesco pistons, ported the hedge installed a 2 inch intake valve. I also put a new R&R cam plate with screaming eagle cams. 595 left 260 duration. Along with that I put a fueling high volume high pressure oil pump in any custom two into one exhaust.Last but not least I removed the fuel injection and replaced it with a Mikuni 48 carburetor. Also remove the drive belt and replaced it with a chain and sprocket. So you see I’m serious about performance I would like any input you might have .
