My Father-in-law has a 2007 883XL in mint condition hardly ever ridden. It has been sitting in a garage for ages, so I tried to get it up and running for him. Replaced the battery, the fuel line quick connect gaskets, replaced the fuel pump. It started once and now wont start. I put the bike in 1st gear and clutch started it for about 5 seconds and it died like it was starving for fuel. Gets spark to the plugs. Is there a clutch safety switch that might be bad? Fuel line problems? O2 sensor issues?
