I just purchased a 1999 Softail FXSTC to compliment my 1999 Road Glide FLTRI company in the garage. My Glide has the knob on the console for the ignition, lock, and accessories with a separate key to unlock the gas cap, hard saddle bags, and bike. The Softail has a very similar knob on the console performing the same function, but the seller did not provide a key, and I do not see anywhere to lock the ignition. Is there anywhere to lock the bike to deter a thief?
Also, the Softail has two knobs on the fuel tank (left and right side of the ignition console). I assume on is to fill the tank on the right, but what is the left side knob for and how does it open? When the console knob is in the accessory position the right side knob will turn and can be removed for filling the fuel tank. The left side seems to just spin. Thank you for your help.
