My friend has an 82 CSR 1000. It has start issues due to weak spark. I has super strong spark as soon as you let off the starter button or by turning the engine with the rear tire. Also, Inside the two inner spark plug wires, It has a resistor or Diode in the boots. What the heck is that for? could these be a problem? He has a shop manual and it does not dscribe or even show that these exist. Any help out there?
