If the bike has been setting for awhile you will need to take the starter button apart on the handlebar and clean all the old grease and junk that has stuck to the contacts. You can also try a quick fix by spraying electrical cleaner into the underside of the starter switch to see if the contacts will clean up enough to start the bike. Good luck. jax
