My girlfriend purchased a 1986 rebel 450 but it will not idle. The guy we got it from said him and a friend ( who i consider a pretty good mechanic ) worked on it five different times. My question is, is there a good replacement carb for these bikes if all else fails? We have it at a shop now but they said it could be awhile before the get to it. I have worked on bikes as well and might be able to figure it out with a little guidance.
