Same HP. 87´s were red or blue, 88´s were red or black. Under 17,000 ´87´s made, around 3500 ´88´s. ´87´s had the Honda Wing logo on the tank. ´88´s had the scrolled MAGNA on the tank. A few other cosmetic changes also.
