Odometer and Speedometer stopped working after I layed it down..

My Speedometer and Odometer stopped working after I layed the bike down once while I was stopped at a light. It hit on the right side and the only cosmetic problem was a crack on the right back foot rest. All of the electronics in the dash work and the lights are fine elsewhere, the fuel guage works fine too. I think the sensor or magnet, whatever they use, got jostled a bit and isnt reading. My question is, where is that sensor and how hard is it for me to fix? Will I have to take it to a shop, it costs 80 an hour for service (not what I want)? I noticed on the front wheel, right side, there is a small enclosed box/area that has a wire going up to the dash and I´m assuming the sensor is in there but I don´t want to just go at it till I´m sure. If anyone can help or has had this problem before then just send me an E-mail to a.pedelty@gmail.com. Any help at all would be appreciated, like a schematic or something.
