I Picked up my 85 ZL eliminator not running for 500 bucks. I replaced the oil, gas, plugs, wires, battery, and ignition pulser. Still couldnt get it running. Took it in and after a compression check they replaced the valves and ajusted the carbs. Started right up and then as you Rev. the engine you can now hear a knocking noise coming from the lower end....mechanic handed me a tissue and said that i had a bad bearing thats suppose to keep the rod and crank working smooth. Ya not so much so here is what i´m thinking 1. sell (for a loss of course) 2. Part out (too much work) 3. FIX ($$$)... Anyone know sombody who wont rip me off and what a fair price would be to split the case and replace this thing?? Engines are hard to come by ive been looking. did find one for 750.00 but it had 15,000 miles on it heck the one ive got only has 20,000. HELP
