| I put Excel high output yellow coils and wires on my 1985 zl900 with a vance @himes advancer plate, opened up the airscrews 3 full turns out from full in and used new stock plugs set at .028 and you can,t believe how it imptoved idle and carb performance. I did this 10 years ago and have 67000 miles on the clock and it runs better than when I bought it new. Also I us Valoline all synth.gear oil in the rear gear housing and mobil 1 syn. oil in the motor. Makes a big difference in smoothness .... Still get 40 to 42 mpg on trips and at 63 years old, I love my BIG RED.... 85 Elim.... |
