re; runs hot. i got a 160 degree thermostat from a general motors listing , 52mm for 4 bucks vs $65 from the kawa. dealer, also get a 160 degree fan switch from auto parts store, 5 bucks vs $60, bring them the old temp switch so the can match the threads. my zl doesnt overheat anymore , but youll notice the fan is almost always on. these bikes are famous for running hot anyway. hope i helped
