I would most definitely customize that bike in fact i am right now(working on a 1971 Honda cl 175 K5 and turning it into a cafe racer). In your case I honestly do not think that your honda will turn out to look like a decent looking bobber or chopper.(they really arenĀ“t meant to have that look, check out a honda rebel 250 if u want a jap. bike)The frame of the bike sits high where the seat is but hey whatever floats your boat. Tips on money--i am 19 and a student and scrap up money to buy things so its possible for anyone well with a decent mechanical side of the brain to restore bikes, regarding building bikes buy the parts/shop/repair Manuel and study that and take apart your bike, take pics, then rebuild while fixing things here and there along the way, gota learn somewhere,USE resources your grandfather will be #1 help Cheers
