Is it worth it to customize my 1972 Honda CL175?

Hey guys, im 16 years old and dont ave alot of money but i own a 1972 Honda CL175 that my grandparents gave to me, it doesnt run because of multiple small things. I was wondering if it would be worth it to customize my bike to a chopper look like some smaller choppers? I have no experience with building bikes but my grandfater knows alot an would be willing to help me. So any tips or advice on what i should do would be much appreciated, thanks!
