Had one for 14 months now and it is BRILLIANT! The motor is very tractable - you can lug along in top gear or wind it up to the rev limiter in every gear. I have thrashed mine within an inch of it´s life and it just will not break. It looks great and always attracts a crowd wherever I park up, yes, it´s a bit of a ´V-Rod´ copy but has a quirky character all it´s own that makes it just so damn different from all the Harley clones which I detest. As a long-time Harley owner I would NEVER even sit on a Virago, yet feel strangely comforable on the Aquila. Handling? Well, I reach my limit long before the bike reaches it´s limit - I´ve scraped away the exhaust mount on the right side and have had sparks off the left side too. The Bridgestone Battlax tyres just will not let go even in the wet - the downside is I´ve reached the wear indicators after only 6000 kilometres, but boy have I enjoyed it! I´ve had it up to 179 kph and it is still pulling like a train but I just can´t go any faster because of the ´cruiser´ riding position - my head is ripped off my shoulders and my feet start to leave the pegs, I may try the optional windscreen to see if that helps. Minus points? Well, at first the rear brake was crap, but is now much better: pad material? Maybe. The gearbox when new was very clunky and hard to find neutral but once again time cured that and the gears snick into place easily and positively now. The only thing that was, is, and always will be completely %!¤E is the headlight. On full beam it is positively dangerous, with a huge black hole where the road should be, and on dipped it´s nothing special either - soon as the waranty´s over I´ll be changing it for one that works! Bizarrely, the right-hand mirror has broken 3 (yes three!) times in only 6000 kilometres, always replaced under waranty, the left-hand one is just fine. No-one told this bike that it´s a cruiser - wind it up and it FLIES, much faster than you would expect from a mere 650, it really surprises people who expect just another stodgy cruiser - BUY ONE NOW - it is a future classic, just as soon as word gets out!
