I owned a Ducati ST4s for 2 years before it got wadded up by a car. Now I am in the market for a new bike and the 4s is no longer available. I have narrowed my decision down to a Ducati ST3s ABS or possible a BMW R1200 ST. The Yamaha FJR is to touring oriented for my needs and too heavy. The Honda VFR 800 is a nice bike but a little too civilized. I love the KTM 990 but my inseam is only 32 inches. The Aprilia Futura is nice but if I´m going to put up with a small dealer network it might as well be Ducati. I did have quality control issues with the Ducati that were never a problem with my previous bike, a Honda CBR-929. I also was a bit of a second class citizen at my dealer since I did not own a 999 or participate in Track Days (I would love to but my work schedule is a big problem).
