I am the original owner of a 1972 Yamaha LS2. I got it for my 16th birthday - the bike was brand new, so that tells you how old I am! It is currently sitting in my garage and hasn´t moved under its own power in over 20 years - but it makes spark when I kick it over, and with a battery, a carb clean out and a tank of gas I could probably have it running in a couple of hours. It would need new tires before I rode it very far - I would like to get a duplicate of the front tire that´s on it now, though - it´s the tire for the TZ125 roadracer.
I am considering getting my little Yamaha on the road again - now that regular gasoline is $4.56/gallon - and would love to hear from other owners, especially regarding parts sources and availability.
