Regarding the size of the gas tank. I filled up the tank just as the low level light flickered on. I filled the tank right to the top, and it took 15.004 liters of fuel. Since the owners manual says the light comes on when 3 liters of gas remains, it would appear the tank holds 18 liters of gas total.
I spoke to my local Kawasaki tech today about the whistling sound that occurs between 80-90 kmh. He said that I am the third person to bring his bike in with that complaint. He is not sure if it comes from the engine or drive belt, but it appears to be a quirk with the bike. He is going to check with Kawasaki to see if there is anything that can be done to get rid of the noise.
