A quicker test would be to just loosen your filler cap. See if there is a release of air pressure.

A buddies bike had the same problem. The temporary fix wasn´t cooler gas but the act of opening the tank (which you have to do to put the gas in) which released the pressure.

As above, then check to see if your vent is plugged.
