FLHRI TOP END ENGINE NOISE ABOVE 2500RPM

I HAVE OWNED THIS BIKE FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AND RIDDEN IT ABOUT 3500 MILES. IT HAS 34000 ON THE MOTORCYCLE. ENGINE IS SMOOTH AS CAN BE UNTIL ABOVE 2300 RPM OR SO AND IT SOUNDS LIKE TOP END NOISE SIMILIAR TO THE OLDER PANS AND SHOVEL ENGINES. DOESNT SOUND LIKE CAM CHAIN TENSIONERS. MORE OF A HARD TAPPING LIKE POSSIBLE A LIFTER LEAKING DOWN AT HIGHER RPMS . HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM. OTHER RIDERS TELL ME ITS NORMAL ON THE TWIN CAM ENGINES, OTHERS SAY NOT NORMAL AT ALL. I HAVE HAD OVER 20 HARLEYS IN MY DAYS , BUT THIS IS THE FIRST TWIN CAM. I LOVE THE BIKE! JUST CONCERNED ABOUT THE NOISE.
