Seat Stuck

My bike´s seat is stuck. I turn the key and I can see it pulling the cable, but the seat doesn´t pop up like usual. I need to charge my battery, but can´t do that until I can figure out how to get the seat off. (I have a 2006 Vulcan 900 Classic - no modifications yet).

Any suggestions?
