Starting Problems

I have a 2006 C90T that I purchased in May of ´06. I have almost 26,000 miles on it and the three problems I´ve had with it are the saddle bag covers shrink and break the snaps, the paint job is poor, and I am having problems with it not starting sometimes. I will try for 10 minutes and it will either barely turn over or just click when I hit the starter button. Then, after a couple of prayers, it will turn over like nothing is wrong.

I´ve taken it to the shop and they tell me it is the battery, which I think is BS. Has anybody else experienced this? Sometimes the display on the gas tank will go screwy also. I´d be interested if anyone else has had this problem and what it was.

John
