If you´re looking at a beginner bike and are focused on the Suzuki, I instead would reco the GSR600 not the GSXR. Also an 06 model, the GSR is a streetfighter (naked bike) and also great for carving canyons. The styling is great and has almost the same engine as the GSXR, but detuned - so it wont just jump as hard as the gixxer. The bars are also raised and best of it all, it has less plastic to mess with, if you meet the unfortunate of going down. The foot pegs are also lower and the riding position is more upright. On the weight, there is only a 2kg difference between the Gix 600 vs the 750. However, there is a big diff in ponies and throttle response so I´ld say learn on a 6 then when you believe you want more, then go for the 750. Goodluck on your purchase! |
