Dude, you can take it up to just before the redline without fear of it all going %&#!¤ up! This is a motor basically a motor out of a SuperSports bike, the R1, so it can handle quite a bit of abuse without problem. Cruising at 9000rpm will have no negative effects on the motor whatsoever.
