1) does anyone know if when cleaning the carb if the gaskets need to be changed or can it/they be reused?
2) how do you flush out the system?
3) how do you clean the gas tank?
4) do I need to change out the spark plug as well?

History:
I bought it new in 2006, rode it 4 times, then it sat for 3 years [no transport vehicle] after selling my truck, then I had heart surgery and it sat again until now. I never thought to do any maintenance before surgery so I am sure the gas is now fouled. I want to learn repairing it on my own and save about $500 from the dealer charges. Can anyone help with advice on the above 4 questions??
