1984 v65 sabre

an oil seal is leaking in the case side gear, this part is located after you take off the clutch slave cylinder, there is a oil seal the clutch rod runs through it. Note you have install the seal once the the side case is off, do you have to remove the engine to take this part off, can some one out there help me
