The dynatek coil with or without the ignition kit will improve starting by way of a hotter and cleaner spark than the 25 year old coils. The ignition will add reliability by replacing the 25 year old spark boxes that are starting to fail due to age. Neither will give more power. The ignition kit is based on the Dynatek 2000 made for other bikes. Those applications have different advance curve options for a power boost. The one for the Sabre/Magna only has one curve - the same as the original.
