Jay, I just remembered something that happened to me on the freeway in Calif.. At 80 mph in the fast lane my rear tire just dropped suddenly. It was like somebody shot it. After about a mile, people finally noticed I have a problem and let me get over to the side. I looked at the tire and could not see any problem. At 5mph I rode off the freeway and to a gas station. The tire bead did not come off amazingly. I removed the tire and inspected it inside and out and found nothing. I would have expected it to be shredded but it wasn´t. It turns out the upper part of the valve stem blew off! So what I am saying is when you get your new tires, replace the valve stems also and hopefully you will never have to experience what I did. No fun! Be smart, stick to V-rated tires. Jay
