Jay: As I understand the evaporation canister was only installed on models that were made for sale in California. It is a black cylindr located right in the front of the engine. If you do not have it the bike was either not manufactured for sale in California or it has been removed prior to your obtaining it. I cannot recommend stronly enough replacing the tires before you do any serious riding. Tire failure, especially at speed can be fatal.
