Lose the top airbox cover and make a filter retainer from spring wire to keep the filter in place. Make sure no rain or water gets into front of tank area and into airbox or you´ll have grief ! Go two sizes larger on the main jets, shim the needles. Replace the mufflers with a set of gutted aluminum slip ons. Run in 5th gear for your top end run (6th is too tall) Should give you around 158 mph. This set up worked good enough to make my buddy (With a stock 84) to have nightmares, as he had to go down 1 gear when we raced, just to stay even with me. I was also 25 lbs heavier than him. |
