This problem should have been addressed by a simple question by the bike mechanics. The question is, Does the tach simply drop down / stop completely working, when the power from the piston drops off. In most cases the single one answer is, the problem lies with the Pulse Generator needing to be replace. Amazon sells this for about USD70.00. The replacement process is involved and requires exacting measurements using a feeler gauge. Once replaced the beast will come alive! Hopes this helps.
