I have a 84 700 Sabre (VF700S) Here is my delima, The bike was stored for several years before I got it. I disassembled the carbs and cleaned them before I got a shop manual. I have now read the manual section on the carburetors. I believe i´ve mixed up the diaphragm needles and main jets. Can someone tell me which jet size goes where I have 027 and 030 marked jets. As for the needles the manual says they are of two differant sizes, I´ve micked them and don´t see a differance. What has happened. After putting the carbs back on the #2 cylinder was running cooler and richer than the others. So as I read in the book #1 & #3 carbs have smaller needles, I thought that it made sence that the smaller jets would go in these carbs. Now cylinder #1 is running rich and cooler. No I didn´t pay attention to the original location fo the needles or jets. Any ideas to fix what I´Ve done? |
