Black Pit on Chrome

I have a 2009 HD Street Glide and have just got it back on the road after a winter break. Upon inspection of my ride I noticed some black pit marks on my chrome, my bike was stored clean in a heated garage. Is this a common problem and is there anything i can do to clean my bike
