Dave, I rented one in 2003 while on business in Oakland, CA. I put 1000 miles on it in two and a half days. It took me 200 miles to get used to the fairing not moving with the bars. 500 miles to get used to the Floor boards. 750 miles entering twisties to remember to turn off the cruise control when entering twisties. Never did get used to the Heel-Toe Shifter so I took the Heel shifter off - gives my left foot more \
