HI, SHERRY. I OWN A 2006 FXSTI, I HAVE HAD & HEARD OF A STEERING ISSUE, THE ISSUE BEING A LOOSE BEARING IN THE TRIPPLE TREE (STEERING HEAD). THE BEARING WORKS LOOSE & CAUSES A CLUNK CONCERN, I HAD MINE RE-PRESSED & IT STILL CLUNKED. TO MY KNOWLEDGE THIS IS NOT A SAFETY CONCERN, BUT RATHER JUST A ANNOYING CLUNK. HOPING THIS HELPS YOU IN YOUR CONCERN.
