Having accidently ridden off a curb and knocking off the tip if the jiffy stand spring base pin (this is the cast piece of the jiffy or kick stand housing where the spring connects to) so the jiffy stand will not stay up. The jiffy stand bracket is welded to the bike frame so it cannot be taken off for easy repair and the spring base pin is about a inch lower than the rest of the frame with no protection (some engineers brain fart). Anyway, if you break off the tip you have to find another way to hold up the jiffy stand while you ride, currently I am using a piece of bungy cord until I can find some thing better. I contacted my HD Dealer and they have to order a special tool which will take about a week, I had thought about just welding a little piece on to the tip but any stray current in the frame or wiring could wipe out the bikes computer and that could get expensive plus void the warrenty. Hase any one out there hade any problems with the jiffy stand ? If so good luck on the repairs. Bill
