no... i did this and it kicks ass. better sound .not too loud... u gotta remove the entire exhaust... i took a long metal rod and my hammer and started poundin... i also soaked the inner with liquid wrench to help bust thru. do not completely bore out the mufflers though. i started first a few months prior by drillin 1/4 inch holes equally apart around the opening of each pipe.
